Eagle Hot Spring

Eagle hot spring 1

Eagle hot spring lies near the CA / NV border and is easily accessible from the nearby county road.  A nice hot source runs into a new stock tank that can hold up to 4 people.
The site is apparently a local favorite as the trail is well-worn and the improvements appear to be recently maintained.

Above the stock tank is a large rock and sand pool that could hold about 8 people.  The rock pool isn’t visible from the road, but the stock tank clearly is. The water is about 110 degrees at the source and is compltely sulfur-free. After just washing my hands and face in the stock tank, I was interested to notice the softening effect the water had on my skin.
